  How to Use the Schedule

GSA has streamlined its procurement procedures for a more efficient process.  GSA has reviewed vendor qualifications, capabilities and cost schedules in advance of the need for services, and identified these vendors, by type of service. Click here to see a process diagram on how to use the GSA Schedule.

1.
Prepare Statement of Work (SOW). Buyer identifies requirements, prepares SOW and sends it to the Contracting Officer.

2A.
Task Orders - $2500 or Less. Buyers Contracting Officer places Task Order directly with schedule holder.
2B.   Task Orders - Over $2500 The Technical Buyer and Contracting Officer prepare and issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to three or more approved GSA Environmental Advisory Services Schedule holders.
Click on “Task Orders – Over $2500” for more information on how to find listing of GSA-approved Environmental Advisory Services Schedule holders.

3. Contractor Submits a Response.
A typical response consists of a technical approach, staffing plan, schedule of deliverables, and description of qualifications.
4. Evaluate Responses/Select Contractor.
The Technical Buyer and Contracting Officer evaluate the responses and make a Best Value selection.

5. Place Task Order with Selected Contractor.
The buyer is not required to transfer any funds to GSA, and the buyer manages the Task Order without participation by GSA.
