After the site visit and kickoff meeting for the remedial investigation/ feasibility study at the former Coos Bay Air National Guard Base, Geologist Richard Stout enjoys a moment standing on the cliffs of beautiful Coos Bay, Oregon. The former Air National Guard property transferred ownership to the Confederated Tribe, made up of the Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indian Tribes. The ANG contracted PEER to investigate the property for any environmental issues related to past Base practices.

Once Richard finished taking in Coos Bay’s fantastic panorama, he and the rest of the PEER team got down to the business of determining what havoc might have been wrought (see related pictures).
