PEER provides wastewater treatment operation and maintenance services at the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority’s Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant. These services include consultation, investigation, evaluation and supervision related to plant-wide process systems, equipment, facilities, and utilities. PEER provides overall project management and coordination of tasks associated with equipment monitoring, acceptance testing, and certification of performance in compliance with design specifications; performs plant-wide process critiques through investigation, evaluation, and reliability assessment of equipment and facilities; prepares standard operating procedures, plans of operation and project scheduling; develops training materials and conducts customized operator training for all newly installed equipment; reviews and approves equipment service manuals; prepares documentation for equipment identification and maintenance requirements for input into computerized plant-wide equipment inventory system; reviews and updates all Operation and Maintenance manuals for new and modified facilities; provides process and operational expertise for system optimization; develops preventative maintenance requirements and manage a spare parts inventory and control system; and provides interface with the Technical Information Center, the Maintenance Management System, and the Material Control System.
